How can I learn more about creating more diverse and inclusive yoga spaces?

As yoga teachers, we all know how amazing and transformative yoga is and we are aware of the scientific research that supports the positive health effects yoga has on all of the participants. I don’t think any of us want anyone to feel unwelcome in our spaces and often we just don’t understand why our spaces are not more diverse.

If that is something that resonates with you, Yoga is for us has created a program we call “Creating an Inclusive and Diverse Yoga Environment for Underrepresented Participants of Yoga” to help us all create spaces where we all are able to breathe. It is designed for yoga instructors or yoga studios to help us all create a more inclusive yoga environment for underrepresented yoga participants.. The content is appropriate for your studio’s next yoga teacher training, a series of yoga teacher workshops, a yoga teacher retreat or yoga studio instructor training.

This is a sensitive topic, handled in a sensitive way that will allow for safe self exploration, seeing life from a different perspective, and ultimately starting to create ways to be aware of how we can all embrace yoga and feel safe doing so.
